The Charleston Lake Ontario Provincial Park is based on the lakeshore offering great opportunities to swimming, canoeing, kayaking and just to be next to mother nature.
Site 303 is not a waterfront or waterview site. It is sitting on the higher ground in the wooded part of the park, but within short walking distance to the shore.
The site is set on a cozy round shaped opening next to the public access road. The entrance is a bit steep. If you are coming with the trailer, make sure your tow vehicle is strong enough for the uphill battle.
Although fairly private for this park, it can be seen through from the park road behind the site. The traffic on that road is not too busy and consists mostly from the boaters heading to the boat launch.

The site has standard set of features consisting from a picnic table and a fire pit.
A pit...
...and a table.
Charleston Lake features great scenery. Right from your canoe or kayak you will encounter wild life throughout the season. This flock of Canada geese was spooked off the water by the canoe. In October the geese are ready to travel down South and have probably been waiting for a crisp night or two to take off.
