Bonnechere Park offers number of waterfront sites. The waterfront sites are stretched along the Bonnechere River. Even if you are not too much into canoeing or kayaking, the proximity of water is hard to overestimate.
Although there is still some room left for a fire pit and an extra picnic table. There are two tables per site at Bonnechere Park.
In this view from the back end of the site, basically from the shoreline, you can see the entire depth of the site. The access road is close enough to allow for meeting all your neighbours on their way to the toilet or back to the site. The outhouse is within short distance to the right. The water spigot is just past the outhouse.
The site has convenient access to the water, easy canoe or kayak launch right from the site. This part of the river across the site is OK for swimming, although the lake beach is fairly close too.
The flip side of being by the water is being away from hot shower and flush toilets. That's when the bikes come handy. There are few trails in the park to discover as well, but we brought ours with purely utilitarian purpose.
