The Bonnechere Ontario Provincial park is a favourite place for many campers from around Ottawa, the Valley and beyond.
Site 58 has no water access. It is rather located in the wooded area near the beach, the boat launch and a canoe rentals.
You get to enter the site from the unpaved short-cut road with minimum traffic on it. Still you may have a chance to meet number of pedestrians and bicyclists cutting a corner on their way from the beach.
It is a medium size site for this park. Good size for a small party. Enough room for a tent or a trailer.
The site features two picnic tables and a fire pit, a standard set for this park.
This is the view from the back end of the site towards the entrance. I would rate the privacy as above average. Besides the entrance opening, the site is surrounded by the trees all around. It is shady. Your gear will stay protected from the sun if you place it strategically.
As for convenience, the beach outhouses are fairly close. The hot shower and flash toilet facilities are in short walking distance as well.
