Site 78 is located across the road from the line of the waterfront sites. Although you may have no direct access to the water, the park offers few spots to launch your canoe or kayak, the regular boat launch as well as a beautiful public beach.
As many other sites in this park, the 78 in tucked into the treed area, which offers some privacy from the sides and in the back.
The view from the back end of the site shows you basically entire area allocated to the 78. You can also see your waterfront neighbours across the road.
The site features two picnic tables and a fire pit, a standard set for the Bonnechere Park. It must be local tradition to hammer used beer caps into the table board butts. Whether you agree with such a tradition or not, you may still find it entertaining to discover the campers' drinking habits.
The site has no rear neighbours as it backs into a swampy area. The swamp proximity does not necessarily translate into extra mosquito population. But you may have a family of ducks walking from the river to the swamp right through your site before bed time, or back to the river in the morning. Some sites are marked as regular duck paths, but if they like your site, you may meet a waterfowl family.
