If you like canoeing or kayaking but unable to get a waterfront site, the 55 might be a valuable compromise. The site is open from the road. It neighbours site 54 on a side. There is no other neighbours. But it gets better - the 55 is next to the boat launch and canoe rentals. You can keep your canoe or kayaks by the launch as well.
The view on the site 55 from the road. It's quite spacious. Bonnechere river is behind the wooded area in the back end of the site. The boat launch is behind wooded area to the right as shown in the photo.
Looking back towards the entrance from the back end of the site.
This is our Roots Barron Dome Tent, 8 x 8-ft, quite comfortable two-layer two-sleeper.
What is not a compromise - the site is within a stone's throw of the beautiful sandy beach. Swimming in Round Lake is lovely.
