The site 312 is located half-way between the water access and the main park road. It is tucked among other sites.
This is look from the public access one-way road weaving through the compound. As you can see the privacy is average for this particular park.
The site features a standard set for the Charleston lake Park: a picnic table and a fire pit.
This is view over to the site entrance from the back of the site. It is not huge, but comfortable enough to accommodate a tent and a car. Right across the access road there is an outhouse. It may be a nuisance or a convenience depending on the way you look at it.
Although the 312 is not a waterfront site, the water is in a short walking distance. You can swiftly get to the beach or canoe-kayak launch. The swimming area is not too spacious and overcrowded during peak season. It is over-compensated by the size and the layout of the lake with its spectacular views, multitude of bays, islands, places to explore.
