Although the site is on the waterfront, the swampy shore of the Sterling Pond makes swimming impossible and launching kayak or canoe quite challenging. You can still enjoy the view of the Sterling Creek bend. The creek is very much suitable for enjoyable canoe or kayak, or even a motor boat trip if you launch your vessel at the marina.
