The Mew lake campground is located on Ontario HWY 60 approximately half way from either end of the park.
It is located on the small lake, thus the name, near the highway. Proximity to the road comes with the easiness of getting there, but with some traffic noise.
Central part of the campground stays open all year around with the access roads and sites cleared off snow. The sites in the year-round part are relatively spacious to accommodate for the RV. Needless to say they are equipped with 30 and 15 Amp outlets.
The Sectors
The Mew Lake campground is divided into three sectors.
The central sector with the sites 1 through 66 is open all year around. The sites are fairly spacious and are equipped with the 30 A and 15 A outlets.
The sector including sites from 67 to 94 is squeezed between the lake and the HWY 60. The sites are not as spacious as in the year-round sector, but most of them have good water access. The sector is for some reason not recommended to be used for RV or trailer camping.
The sector including sites 91 through 135 is seasonal as well. It is a dog-free radio-free non-electric sector with beautiful mostly waterfront sites.
